Gorgeous Handmade Special Occasion Dresses

Having smocked for nearly 25 Years, Sandra has become a leading designer of stylish smocked children’s dresses throughout New Zealand, from baby gowns, to Christening ensembles, to day wear, to special occasion dresses, to Flower girl dresses, through to the bridal charms, purses and garters.

Passionate about her need to produce only the most exquisite of smocking and Sandra’s love of beautiful textiles, colour and texture has meant she has an eye for that carefully chosen fabric and sources only the finest quality available. 

Sandra’s work can be described as very traditional through to contemporary classical, with all the form of a timeless quality in design of her smocked dresses and accessories.

A course taken from International textile artist, Lucy Goffin, taught Sandra not to reveal all details at first sight, but to reveal intimate details with closer inspection, including name and date hand embroidered on the slip of a Christening ensemble, embroidered or beaded buttons to finish off a back yoke, or embroidered sash tabs at the back of the dress, to even very small hidden embroidered silhouettes of teddies, hearts and the like on special occasion dresses, requested by mothers. Your input into a personal detail featured on the dress will not be overlooked.
